DMI Global Gathering

Day 1: DMI Global Gathering in Kenya, March 2026

What an incredible time we had in Kenya, as Disciple Makers Increase trainees, alumni, coaches, and movement leaders gathered together for the first time in our history! God’s presence was tangible and felt, and the joy we experienced was contagious and overflowing. Over the next week, each day, we will release a recap of the gathering, highlighting what the Lord did among us. Our prayer is that this will give you a taste and you will sense the joy, passion, and vision the Lord was giving to us as a movement. Please feel free to share these posts with others!

A Warm Kenyan Welcome!

DMI Global Gathering

Our Kenyan host, Andrew Wakesa, warmly welcomed the participants who were from many nations with the words “Karibu sana, jisikie nyumbani – Welcome! Feel at home.”

We then enjoyed beautiful Kenyan cultural dancing and singing.

At the end of the welcome ceremony, participants were invited to join in with the dancers and participate. The joy, laughter and celebratory sense of family were amazing and palpable. No one in the room could sit in their chair simply as an observer. We were all drawn into the beauty of being together in person for the first time when so many of us had only ever met one another online.

Our Theme: More Than All

Our founder, Cynthia (Cindy) Anderson, then spoke to us from Ephesians 3:20 and introduced the theme of the gathering – More Than All, emphasizing that God is able to do more than all we can ask or imagine.

Taking this verse and breaking it down phrase by phrase, we were reminded of who God is; the God of the more than all, a God who can work far beyond what we think possible. Faith rose in our hearts as we meditated on this passage.

In the message, Anderson also shared an update on what God has done through DMI, describing the incredible exponential Kingdom growth happening across the globe, and particularly in Africa.

The message was followed by a discussion and time for participants to apply the principles God was speaking to each one, and to pray together for areas of disappointment or places where faith had waned.

See a few of the statistics below. Each number represents a life changed and transformed by the love of Jesus!

To God be the glory for all He has done! We rejoice and celebrate His incredible work and lean in for more. God is just getting started, and millions of unreached remain for us to share His love and good news with. He is the God of the MORE THAN ALL, which means He wants us to dream with Him for even greater things in the future.

Finally, Day 1 wrapped up with a time of singing, dancing, and declaration of faith in what God is doing and will do in the future.

Check back tomorrow for another post and for more updates on what took place on Day 2!

To God be all the glory. I pray to part of the next global gathering. But what must be doing for DMI in Ghana?
